Easy to find, hard to leave
Situated in central North Carolina, Cabarrus County is part of the state’s Piedmont region. Located just 30 minutes northeast of Charlotte, the area is easily accessible by car, air, and by rail.
Situated along Interstate 85 at Exits 49 through 63, Cabarrus County is just 30 minutes northeast of Charlotte providing easy access to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), as well as I-77 and I-40.
The City of Concord is home to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA) where Allegiant Airlines offers scheduled service to several destinations in Florida. The Commercial Airline Passenger Terminal is located at 7435 Zephyr Pl NW, Concord, NC 28027.
Travelers can also reach Cabarrus County via train. Amtrak, the nation’s intercity passenger rail operator, conveniently connects passengers via daily service along the Carolinian and Piedmont routes. The Kannapolis Train Station is located at 201 South Main St., Kannapolis, NC 28081.
The area offers several car rental services as well as public transportation options via RIDER Transit.
